• Poker Psychology

Becoming a professional gambler takes a lot of mental toughness. The mathematics and gambling theories are usually too much for the average gambler whom uses emotions to make their decisions at the tables. When it comes to playing poker as a professional the game becomes tougher. The mind of a professional poker player uses some math but the psychology is what separates the pros from the gamblers. There can be multiple levels of thinking and trying to out-think your opponent. You always want to know what your opponent is thinking about what you are thinking. It might sound like a mouthful but without this experience one can’t be expected to be a consistent winner at the poker tables. The poker game becomes more of a battle of psychological toughness than anything. If you want to go pro you best find a coach that is a winning player too.

  • Martingale betting syste

Does the Martingale roulette betting system work? I really don’t think this works at all, and if it did then why isn’t everyone getting rich from this system? It sounds too good to be true and it is for many reasons. The first problem is that the house edge will grind away at any possible income. Here is the theory behind the system. The odds of losing say 7 consecutive coin tosses in a row are rare but certainly not impossible. The system proposes that you bet a starting amount of say $10 and every time you lose you double the bet size. So if you lose 6 hands in a row and win on the 7th one then you profit. This system fails quickly if your maximum bet size is $500. Of course betting black, red, odd or even in roulette comes with a house edge so for every bet you place you are automatically losing money, on average. If of course you don’t believe me then you can prove it by trying your luck at an online casino. If you win you can prove me wrong but if you lose then surely you won’t say a word.

Do you have what it takes to become a sharp sports bettor? Most people don't have a clue and this is why sportsbetting is like poker. Everyone thinks they know it all but the house always wins. So what is a sharp sports bettor? A sharp or sharpie is someone who uses math and statistics to determine how to profit from a sportsbook. There are too many factors that go into making the price or line of a game and this is factored into the 'cost' of placing your bet. The house has to make money from this otherwise they wouldn't be in business. Sportsbetting is popular all around the world and is more of a male sport. To become an advantage player one must put emotions aside and sometimes this involves having to bet against your favorite team all for the purpose of making a profit.
